Tiffin Selects Rumpke for Trash and Recycling
Service Begins Week of April 1, 2018
TIFFIN, Ohio – March 14, 2018 – The City of Tiffin has selected Rumpke Waste & Recycling as its new trash and recycling service provider for residents, beginning April 1, 2018.
Trash collection will occur weekly, and recycling service will take place every-other-week. Each residence will receive two 95-gallon carts from Rumpke before the end of March – a brown one for trash and a green one for recycling.
“Our family-owned company appreciates the opportunity to provide service for Tiffin,” said Sarah Mathews, Rumpke municipal representative. “Tiffin officials have worked tirelessly with Rumpke to ensure a smooth transition. We look forward to serving the community for many years to come.”
Rumpke will attach an informational flyer to recycling carts upon delivery to residents. The flyer will include general service guidelines, days of collection, a calendar for recycling service, holiday schedule and large item procedures.
All materials must fit inside the respective cart. Residents are asked to contact Rumpke if they have extra material that doesn’t fit in the cart or to rent an additional cart.
“We’re excited to provide carts for each residence,” said Mathews. “We believe most families will find ample space in each cart for their trash and recycling. Rest assured, if you have additional items, simply call Rumpke, and we’ll work together to make sure everything gets collected.”
