Rumpke Spokeswoman Named Public Relations Professional of the Year
CINCINNATI—Dec. 27, 2011—Rumpke Director of Corporate Communications Amanda Pratt, APR, was recently named Public Relations Professional of the Year by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Pratt became the company’s first director of corporate communications in January 2011 and has worked for the waste and recycling firm since 2000. She manages nine employees, who collectively earned Communications Team of The Year from Cincinnati PRSA last year.
“Amanda is an exceptional representative of our company and has worked vigorously to communicate Rumpke’s messages of environmental responsibility and safety,” said Chief Operating Officer Bill Rumpke Jr. “This is a well-deserved honor for an outstanding member of our team.”
Pratt earned accreditation in public relations in 2009. She is a member of the Mercy Mt. Airy Community Council, Colerain Township Business Association, and the National Solid Waste Management Association’s Women’s Council (marketing committee). In the past, she has served as a Big Sister, through the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program. She is a graduate of the E.W. Scripps College of Journalism at Ohio University.
