Meet Neighbor Dave
Meet “Neighbor Dave.” He’s not a professional actor. He’s not a Rumpke employee. But he is a neighbor. And he’s my neighbor – the best kind of neighbor. He’s the kind of neighbor who mows your lawn when you’re away from home for an extended period, and the kind of neighbor who shares his tools to help fix your mailbox.
Like many neighbors, Neighbor Dave has questions about what he should and shouldn’t place in his recycling container. He asks me about it, sometimes pressuring to know why. He wants to make sure his family’s recycling efforts count.
Neighbor Dave graciously allowed Rumpke to feature him in a few videos about recycling. He’s also given us permission to chronicle his family as they learn about recycling at home.
We hope you’ll join us on Neighbor Dave’s recycling journey. In a series of upcoming blog posts, we’ll cover trash and recycling issues he encounters in everyday life – ones we suspect many of our other neighbors see as well.
For now, enjoy Neighbor Dave’s debut last year (fall 2016). He’s already a hit in my neighborhood, and we hope he helps us all improve our recycling habits.
