Transfer Station in Clermont County, OH

Yes, there are community recycling drop-offs as well as a tire recycling drop-off at the Rumpke - Clermont County Transfer Depot, increasing access to recycling in Clermont County.

• The Rumpke - Clermont County Transfer Depot accepts traditional trash that you can place at the curb as well as large items, including:
  • furniture
  • appliances (Freon must be removed)
  • mattresses
  • construction & demolition debris
  •  hot tubs, etc.
• The facility also has a separate tire collection. 

The following items cannot be disposed of at the Rumpke - Clermont County Transfer Depot:

• motor oils
• paint
• batteries
• tires
• fluorescent lights
• flammables
• yard debris
• To dispose of these items, please contact the Clermont County Solid Waste District. 

1. Customers enter the facility and pull onto the inbound scales located to the left of the building.
2. Vehicles are weighed and provided with a price estimate.
3. Customers will need to leave photo ID with scale attendant before proceeding.
4. Customers then pull around the building and follow the operator’s directions on where to unload.
5. Customers then unload material from vehicle directly onto the concrete floor.
6. Once material is unloaded, customers pull out of the transfer and return to the Scalehouse, entering the outbound scale.
7. The vehicle will then be weighed and final price provided. 

The facility is open to residential, commercial and third-party customers.

While our hours of operation reflect the time we’re open to the public, our internal Rumpke team at the Clermont County Transfer Station works on a different hourly schedule in order to maintain an efficient and compliant operation.
