Rumpke Employee Wins Public Relations Award
GREEN TOWNSHIP, OHIO – Nov. 19, 2018 – Green Township resident Jonathan Kissell is the 2018 recipient of the Werner-VonderHaar-Bogart (WVB) Award - the highest honor offered by the Cincinnati chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Kissell was lauded for his contributions to the community, the communication profession and to the PRSA during the PRSA chapter’s annual Blacksmith Awards on Nov. 15 at the Summit Hotel in Cincinnati.
Kissell is an award-winning PR professional, with experience in corporate, nonprofit and educational settings. In addition to his full-time role at Rumpke Waste & Recycling, he is a part-time faculty member at Miami University, 10-year board member of Cincinnati PRSA and president of a nonprofit organization – the EB Hope Foundation.
A lifelong resident of Green Township, Kissell is a graduate of St. Ignatius Elementary, LaSalle High School and the University of Dayton.
Often considered a lifetime achievement, the WVB Award is named after William Werner, Edward VonderHaar and Judith Bogart – three PR leaders who served as presidents of the Cincinnati chapter and later as PRSA national presidents.
