Louisville Recycling Scholarship Deadline Is March 7
LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Feb. 25, 2014— Students must apply by March 7 for the Rumpke Recycling Scholarship, which will be awarded to one graduating senior from Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS).
Past recipients from Eastern, Butler and duPont Manual high schools have organized school recycling programs, participated in community clean-ups or studied environmental science in college.
Applicants must be graduating from a JCPS school this spring and planning to earn a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution. Apply for scholarships.
Rumpke has offered the $1,000 non-renewable award since 2009. Rumpke employs approximately 120 people in the Louisville area and provides waste, recycling and portable restroom services. Rumpke recycles about 700 million pounds of material, annually.
